Geneseo Methodist Leadership
Geneseo Methodist is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Pastor Melody Williams
Pastor
Pastor Melody began her ministry at Geneseo on September 8, 2024. Pastor Melody has her Masters degree in Divinity and her Doctorate in Ministry, both from the University of Dubuque. She is a former elder of the United Methodist Church having served in several different appointments, most recently with the Tipton United Methodist Church. We are grateful to have Pastor Melody serve Geneseo Methodist Church and are excited about this new chapter in the life of our church.
Krista Holub
Financial Secretary
Krista is our financial secretary and takes care of recording donations for our church. Krista and her husband Cordt married in our church in 2020. They are the parents of Carver. She works as a nurse for a dermatology office in Waterloo.
Alex Chase
Tech Desk
Alex Chase has worked for the Geneseo Church for many years, manning the tech desk on Sunday mornings and posting our services to the web. He is all things technical for our church, but has been known to give the message on Sunday Morning.
Cordt Holub
Trustee Chair
Cordt is the trustee co-chair of our church and is responsible for the assets of the church keeping them well maintained and in good order. Cordt and Krista married in 2020 at the Geneseo Methodist church and now welcome their beloved son Carver who was born in June of 2023. Cordt stays active on various boards outside of church including serving as the Tama County Farm Bureau President, IFBF Young Farmer Advisory Committee (2022-2024), and a Tama County political central committee role. Cordt farms alongside family on their fourth generation family farm raising corn, soybeans, cattle, hay, and also sells Nutech Seed.
Diana Sash
Treasurer
Diana Sash has served in many different capacities at the Geneseo church from Sunday School teacher to serving on the church board, on the SPRC and worship committees and has been the treasurer for the Geneseo Church for over 13 years. She is a graduate of the school of lay ministry and has served as lay member to the annual conference. Her activities outside the church include singing with Sweet Adeline choruses in Waterloo and Cedar Rapids, and is an active member of the Exchange Club of Waterloo. She and her husband David love spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bob Hill
Church Lay Leader
Bob Hill has been a member of the Geneseo church most of his life having been baptized and confirmed in this church. Over the course of time he has served our church in many capacities and he is currently the lay leader for the church. Although he spends time in the summer months attending county and state fairs all over the country as Hillbilly Bob, his favorite activity is Bible study.
